The Bindaring Vision Display was successfully launched by the Mayor last night at the Bassendean Library.
We had a great turn-out, with wide-ranging discussion and support for the Bindaring Vision.

This Thursday 15 March sees the launch of the Bindaring Vision Display at the Bassendean Library, Old Perth Road, Bassendean.
It will be officially opened by Mayor John Gangell at 7.00pm.
The display will show the history of Bindaring Park, some important local information and some wonderful images of the park and wetlands.
Come and join us at the Launch as we continue our campaign for the Bindaring Vision.

The newly elected Bassendean Council reconsidered its previous decision on rezoning land close to Bindaring Park. Council revoked its previous decision to approve a rezoning change and elected not to send a deputation to the WA Planning Commission.
At the September 2011 Town of Bassendean Council meeting, Councillors resolved to pursue the zone change from parks and recreation to residential for two blocks important to the proposed Bindaring Vision.
We need to make sure we keep it that way.
Recently there have been attempts to erode the public open space in Bindaring Park. This wetland is a wildlife habitat, serving a vital function in times of heavy rainfall and flood and is enjoyed as a public open space for recreation. It could be so much more.
